our package

Puissentut is a family run business. We – Angela and Dirk-Karel – own and run Chateau de Puissentut and live here with our two daughters and a menagerie of animals. We bought the chateau in 2011 when it was still partly a ruin and spent two years bringing it back to life and we continue to renovate it, making it an even more comfortable place for you to enjoy.

We’ve been running weddings since 2014. We love them but too much of a good thing can be tiring. To keep things fresh we book no more than 12 weddings a year and run retreats in between. We run our own retreats and host them for others, and specialise in retreats for people who have, or have had, cancer.

Because we want your day to be unique we don’t tie you to an in-house planner nor do we require that you use any in-house services. This leaves you with the flexibility to arrange your wedding totally yourself or we can recommend a few tried and trusted planners who we enjoy working with and we’re sure you will too.

But because we like to be helpful and we want to take the stress out of arranging logistical details that really aren’t that interesting we provide a wedding package with all the basics. This ensures your day will run smoothly and frees you up to focus on all the fun, creative bits.

We provide you with:

  • Dining tables and chairs
  • Tableware and linen
  • Lighting
  • PA for speeches
  • Sound system and decks for a DJ, tablet or phone
  • Parasols and sunshades

In addition we will:

  • Help you set up prior to your wedding day
  • Stock and run the bars
  • Liaise with caterers and service providers to ensure your day runs as planned
  • Keep toilets and communal areas clean and stocked
  • Recycle and clear rubbish
  • Set-up for your second-day event

To reduce your workload further we offer a bar package and wine list for you to choose from, giving you even more time relax. While you sit back and enjoy a refreshing glass of wine or sip a cocktail we will purchase, stock, chill, serve and recycle all your drinks.
